DINAN
DINAN (15 Minute Drive), is an old mediaeval town of art and history, built alongside the Rance river, it is a wonderful place to visit with its many restaurants, bars, local shops without forgetting the old castle, the churches and the port.
CORSEUL
CORSEUL (4 Minute Drive), is our little home village with a bakery and a little
grocery store.
Founded in 10 BC, Corseul was the Capital of Gallo-Roman province of Coriolis,
ruins of this ancient town can be visited in the centre of the village, there is a museum
showcasing the archaeological items recovered and explaining the history of this
historical place.
SAINT-MALO
SAINT-MALO (40 Minute Drive), is a famous and historically fortified port, most of
your guests from the UK get the Ferry from Portsmouth and arrive in Saint Malo the
next morning, as it is only a 40 minute drive from la Julerie.
High granite remparts circle the historical town centre, which was once a stronghold
for corsairs (pirates approved by the king). The Cathedral of Saint-Malo, in the centre
of the old town, features Romanesque and Gothic styles, and has stained glass
windows depicting the history of the city. The nearby Demeure de Corsaire is an
18th-century corsair house that now serves as a museum.
DINARD
DINARD (30-minute drive), is known for its war ruins and houses built into the
cliffside!
A renowned seaside resort neighbouring Saint Malo, particularly popular
among the British and Americans, for its “Belle Epoque villas” and the British Film
Festival held there every year since the 1990s.
LE MONT SAINT-MICHEL
LE MONT SAINT-MICHEL (50-minute drive), is one of France’s most famous
monuments, a masterpiece of architecture, construction of which began in the 8th
century!
Visit the Abbey at nightfall, enjoy the calm of the evening itinerary in summer, be
transported by concerts and surprised by new cultural proposals.
Standing at the top of Mont St Michel offers a unique viewpoint to see some of the
biggest tides in the world sweeping in across the flat sands.
SAINT-JACUS-DE-LA-MER
SAINT-JACUS-DE-LA-MER (20 Minute Drive), is a little peninsula with a grand total of 11 beaches to explore, the tidal difference is very important, at low tide the sea will pull out of the bay, allowing you to walk to the Island of “Les Ebihens", there is a sailing school on the main beach.
SAINT-BRIAC
SAINT-BRIAC (25 minute drive), is a very popular coastal town, with 6 beautiful
beaches, wonderful villas, a grand golf course and fabulous scenery. There is often
some good surf on La plage des Longchamps with a surfing school for those who
want to experience riding the waves.
There are many marked walks in the area, but for coastal scenery none surpass a walk
along the coastal path from Fort La Latte to Cap Frehel further up the coast!
